Subliminal messages

Many have probably heard about this but don’t really understand the seriousness of these messages; to understand this we must first understand the word subliminal. Subliminal means according to an English dictionary.

existing or operating below the threshold of consciousness; being or employing stimuli insufficiently intenseto produce a discrete sensation but often being or designed to be intense enough to influence the mentalprocesses or the behavior of the individual: a subliminal stimulus; subliminal advertising.

So basically it is something that happens when something that see happens so fast that your mind can’t process it because well you didn’t really see it, it happens so fast that our eyes cannot see it well they see it but we can’t and that sort of information goes to the subconscious memory. You know what you saw but you don’t know that you know it. It all sound really confusing but when you have attended some classes in psychology it makes more sense to you.

But now to subliminal messages, when it comes to subliminal messages you have all seen them, they are everywhere in commercials, movies, games and shows. This art was invented a long time ago in the time of film before digital, back then it was hard they had to make a little frame that would be visible only for a split second on a bigger frame. The image was usually a picture of a coca cola and popcorn. This was something the movie theater did to make people think “I would like a coca cola and a pop corn right now” but they don’t where that thought comes from but it is used for all sorts of things.
